NEW : Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test  

Ireland's most accurate non-invasive method in determining paternity before the birth of the baby is now exclusively available through DNA Diagnostics Centre (DDC). This sophisticated procedure utilises DNA SNP microarray technology by preserving and analysing the baby's DNA that is contained in the mother's bloodstream.

• Accurate results in 8-10 business days
• Requires a blood collection from the mother & alleged father (The child's DNA is contained within in the mother's blood)
• Performed from the 12th week of pregnancy and onwards
• DDC has a blood collection facilities throughout Ireland

Prenatal Test with Amniocentesis or CVS  

Paternity testing can be performed by collecting the unborn baby's DNA by either a CVS or amniocentesis sample depending on the stage of pregnancy. Both CVS and amniocentesis samples are required to be extracted by an Obstetrician or Gynaecologist. Using either sample type can provide accurate paternity testing results; however it's advised to discuss the potential risks regarding this procedure with your doctor.
